The music is simply amazing with a very deep bass and clear sound. It doesn't bother or hurt my ears and i could wear it all day. Using it many times for work with joy.

Pros:
* By far the best audio quality of all ANC or closed headphones that I've tried out! (I tried out 4 different ones lately: Bose QuietComfort 35ii, SteelSeries Arctis 9, HyperX Cloud Orbit S and this one)
* Good noise cancellation, no background hiss/sound like on Bose/HyperX headphones, however noise dies out very nicely.

Cons:
* Mutes 5 seconds after a call each time. This doesn't happen with other headsets, only this one.
* It sometimes disconnected without any apparent reason. This might be OK for music if it only happens each 2 weeks or so. However, it also happened to me for work calls, and blocking the whole group for you to fix your headset is NOT nice. This was my primary reason for return.
* The only way to shut them down is to fold them. If you don't want to fold them, such as wearing them on your neck for a while, then they stay powered on.
* The frame makes noise on wind. Depending on your area/country you might observe it less or not at all. I live in a region that is known for strong winds. I also cycle...
* Open-back wired audiophile headphones such as Sennheiser HD*** will sound better. But that's a different category entirely, so not very fair to compare. In the wireless closed-back category of headphones these are really good.

In the end I returned due to the random disconnects.

De Sennheiser geprobeerd samen met de Sony en AT. De Sony is de winnaar, maar uiteindelijk alles retour gestuurd en bedraad gegaan: de Philips (!!!) Fidelio samen met de qudelix Bluetooth DAC amp zijn voor mij de absolute winnaar. NC interesseert me niet. Nooit gedacht ooit een Philips hoofdtelefoon te kopen, lees de recensies op amazon.de: juigend en zeer terecht. Ben je stiekem een beetje audiofiel (zoals ik) dan is dit the way to go.

een degelijke koptelefoon, mooi materiaal. Retro look.
Het geluid is echt super gaaf.
De koptelefoon zit fijn op je hoofd: de oorschelpen zijn net wat groter dan bij bijv. de microsoft headphones 2.

2 dingen vind ik wat minder fijn en dat lees / zie je ook in de recenties in youtube video's.
- De microfoon. Het klinkt niet echt mooi om hier mee te bellen / een teams vergadering in te gaan.
- ANC is een stuk minder dan de Microsoft Headphones 2 en eigenlijk ook minder goed dan mijn goedkope AliExpress Bluedio t6 van nog geen 30 euro.

Ik twijfel nog. Je mag retourneren, maar dat doe je ook niet zo maar....
De sony is qua geluid (en bas) ook goed. wellicht ietsje minder dan deze.
Maar noicecancelling is dan een stuk beter.
Voor het bellen maakt het weinig uit als ik uitga van wat men beweert in youtube-recenties...

I moved to Sennheiser from the market leader in the field of wireless headsets. It has been a huge disappointment all the way. I am having connection issues, there is no voice info given through the headset, I am having several different weird buzzing sounds very regularly, the quality of the sound is also much lower and the app that comes with the headset is given a 2 star feedback from customers which should probably be 1 star. I am at the point that I will just throw this piece of junk out and buy another brand. Gone are the days that Sennheiser made my day! A shame they do not accept they can no longer compete and innovate and prefer to rip of their loyal customers just to make a buck!

Premetto che sono prevenuto (in positivo) sulle cuffie Sennheiser, ho posseduto o possiedo HD599, HD600 (eccelsa nel segmento open), IEM 80S, Momentum 2 con filo e Wireless, adesso ho acquistato queste Momentum 3 per fare un upgrade. A mio modo di vedere sono un sostanziale miglioramento rispetto al precedente modello: fermo restando che lo stile è molto simile, i materiali sono un pò cambiati e secondo me in meglio con caratteristiche ancora più premium. Le dimensioni dei padiglioni sono più generosi con enorme miglioramento della comodità, che era un punto in cui le Momentum 2 peccavano, queste le ho tranquillamente tenute per 10 ore di aereo senza dolore nè sudorazioni delle orecchie.
Anche sulla qualità audio il miglioramento è importante, l'impronta audio è sensibilmente diversa: laddove le Momentum 2 peccavano di eccesiva generosità tra i 2-3 Khz, qui abbiamo un profilo vagamente ad U con lieve "pompaggio" delle frequenze basse ma con grande musicalità e senza sbrodolamenti nelle frequenze 200-400 Hz che impastano tutto, frequenze medie assolutamente flat senza picchi ed innalzamento dei treble equilibrato e senza sbavature sui 10-12 Khz ad evitare fastidiosi sibilamenti. Faccio fatica a trovare una cuffia con profilo audio più equilibrato, anche solo guardando i grafici audio di altre cuffie recensite in giro. Tra l'altro ho avuto la possibilità di confrontarla in diretta con la Sony 1000XM4 (che ho regalato a mia sorella): una bella cuffia anche la Sony, ma, ragazzi, questa Momentum aveva una gamma media e una chiarezza in quel segmento che non si batteva, anche smanettando sui vari equalizzatori forniti dalle app proprietarie.
Quanto al noise cancelling, concordo con il mantra della maggior parte delle recensioni: il noise cancelling delle Sony non si batte, queste si comportano in maniera adeguata ma senza impressionare. Ma si tenga conto di questo: la qualità audio delle Momentum non decade se si tiene spento il noise cancelling (come del resto già era per le Momentum 2), con le Sony a noise cancelling spento si perde qualità audio ed impatto in gamma bassa.
Durata della batteria direi intorno alle 15 ore, le Sony promettono decisamente di più, ma per chi non ne fa un uso massivo la durata è più che sufficiente, una giornata ce la fate abbondantemente, anche un volo transoceanico...
Insomma, il punto forte a mio parere è la qualità audio che per me, nel segmento delle cuffie wireless, ha segnato un punto di riferimento per futuri confronti; non penso che a chi interessi un audio di qualità lo voglia fare nel casino della metro o in altri posti rumorosissimi, per cui il noise cancelling presente è più che adeguato. Per cui avendo aggiunto rispetto alle Momentum 2 migliore comodità e anche un'app adatta a limare le preferenze di equalizzazione audio (che vengono salvate dentro la cuffie per poterla sfruttare anche nella fruizione non da smartphone), devo dire di essere molto soddisfatto.

He tenido ya unos cuantos auriculares Sennheiser porque me gusta mucho su característico sonido. Y estos son los mejores de largo.

No solo cuentan con el sonido más perfecto que he escuchado en unos auriculares (equilibrado, cálido, profundo...), sea cual sea el tipo de música que escuche, sino que han mejorado notablemente en otras características que hoy en día son imprescindibles:

- Cancelación activa de ruido muy efectiva y que no agobia ni produce presión (ni siquiera en el nivel más alto de los tres que tiene).
- Modo de escucha transparente muy bien ejecutado y muy fácil de activar y desactivar. Utilísimo cuando vas por la calle y quieres hablar con alguien sin quitártelos.
- Buena ergonomía en los botones principales.
- Muy buena calidad en las llamadas y en la interacción con los asistentes de voz disponibles.
- Encendido y apagado automático muy bien ejecutado, tanto al desplegarlos y plegarlos, como al dejarlos sobre el cuello. La excesiva sensibilidad inicial de esta funcionalidad la han arreglado con las actualizaciones de firmware y ahora va perfecta.

Tienen además un diseño muy bonito y son comodísimos, con materiales excelentes que hacen un placer usarlos, incluso durante mucho tiempo.

Como defectos, solo diría que son un poco pesados y que plegados ocupan bastante espacio en comparación con otros modelos, aunque es el peaje a pagar por el diseño.

Además, han bajado muchísimo de precio, actualmente por debajo de los 300 euros, aunque yo conseguí pillarlos en un momento en que estaban por 230 euros, casi la mitad de su precio inicial

TLDR - they sound great, the noise cancellation is good and they are very comfortable. No problems like the 1 star reviewer had

I have had a pair of the original wired Momentums since 2013 when a certain store where a dog was deafened by his masters gramophone went into receivership and I picked them up half price. Despite me treating them badly on the daily commute never using a carry case and slinging them everywhere without a thought they have lasted well but I’ve been through 2 cables. So when these wireless cans came on offer it felt like a no brainer.

I must admit however I had some trepidation. I’ve never been that interested in the noise cancelling technology and always assumed it would ruin the sound. I’m not even that excited by wireless connectivity. yes it is a nice to have but only made more essential as phone companies decide that headphone sockets are superfluous. I imagine that at some point as your Amazon Musics, Spotifys etc bring in affordable hi-res or lossless music I’ll probably go wired for some things and end up buying a DAC so it isn’t essential. Lets discuss the important things

Build - The Momentum 3s are over ear headphones (as opposed to in ear or on ear) and have soft leather (I think) ear cups and leather around the headband. As such, like the original Momentums feel to me like a hug for your ears. they can be adjusted quite well and when digging in the garden, walking, lying down and being lazy etc they have been comfortable. I don’t imagine they would be good for jogging etc but for most activity they are pretty fantastic. I’ve worn them for 5 or 6 hours at a time and they have felt really good as opposed to some in ear headphones. If you are prepared to walk around looking like an aged, transitioning Cyberman then comfort needs to be a bonus as does battery life which seems excellent. As the headbands have a foldable hinge they fold relatively small and as a bonus this is what turns the headphones on and off. All the buttons seem OK and although I haven’t really used them to do all the things I imagine they can do I haven’t accidentally turned things off, called my Mum, summoned Satan etc so that is a bonus. To be honest if I want to change tracks, adjust volume etc I will just reach for my phone. If buttons etc are a big thing for you I might not be able to help there. I believe you can talk to a voice assistant but to be honest I don’t care. If I talk to a Shirley, Say Seriously, speak to an Alec, Alex etc all the flipping devices go off anyway so I have no need to hate my headphones

Sound - Brilliant! I have been testing with a lot of Flac and some MP3 across a number of different types of music and nothing has disappointed. In keeping with my “Hug for the ears” the sound is slightly warm and the bass is decent and slightly pronounced without loosing its tightness and being fuzzy or muddy. All the mid range and high notes are great as well. It is not lacking in bringing your music to life. If you are a captain laptop and love all the bleeps and blips of electronica you will not be disappointed. If it is deep dub or drum and bass you should be happily blissed out without having to glue little bits of paper together and tear off the corners of your books. If you have been cultivating a beard good enough to hide half your dinner then acoustic guitars and vocals are great and you can frown along with the best 9 minute epics. Two things extra 1) I have yet to wire them up, I’ve only listened wirelessly and they sound superb 2) Missy Elliots “Get Your Freak on” is a better headphone track than I expected

Noise Cancelling - Much better than I hoped. Having over ear cups block out sound anyway but the big value of the Noise Cancelling is that I can listen at lower volumes. There are 3 modes anti-pressure, Anti Wind and Maximum. I’ve tried all 3 and they are good. I must admit I wasn’t aware or felt the “pressure” wearing headphones for extended periods until I tried the anti pressure. It sounds a bit different but is still great so if the pressure does effect you no problem. There is also transparent hearing which you can hear ambient noise with music on or off. Not enough to hear convos with the music but enough to feel less isolated. Bigger tick than I expected

App - It feels quite basic but is kind of essential if you want to play with some features. You can change those noise cancelling settings -Important, set the transparent hearing - Needed, Use a graphic equalizer - meh. Also do things like set your smart pause, use Alexa, track your headphones via a tile app etc.

Other - The mic is good enough that no-one hates me on Phone, zoom, teams calls (not for sound quality anyway).

NEGATIVE REVIEWS- there was quite a negative review on here and I’d like to address some of the points in it in case it totally puts you off;

Smart Control App - Never had a problem finding my phones and I personally put little importance on an equaliser

Bluetooth connection - No problems from my phone even when being distant in the (quite small garden), only broke up when going into the cellar

Smart Pause - You can turn it off if you don’t like it

Multi Device - Yes it pings and silences music when you get a notification, call, etc on your other device. That's the point. Turn off unnecessary notifications if that is a problem. I love the fact I can line up some music and it automatically switches off when I take a teams call etc and comes back on when I’ve finished. Top stuff

I rarely do reviews, but I had to do this review as I am so exhilarated post my purchase of the Sennheiser Momentum 3 pair of headphones. If you have not heard the sound of Sennheiser Momentum 3, you'll probably be deprived of knowing what a good sound is all about. You don't have to take my words, just try these out for a demo before you buy, you'll know the difference. The music is not just crystal clear, it makes it full, rich and what's more important, enjoyable. This is a true gem of a headphone, I'm so happy I accidentally discovered. It also surpasses my expectation in several other areas I was less concerned about:
1. Build quality - superb! Feels quality in every respect.
2. Looks, design - Beautiful. Excellent finish.
3. Connectivity - so easy, flawless.
4. Comfort - quite good, some people may find it bit on the heavier side to wear it for long, but I don't really mind it as I use it only for listening to music with my head resting on a pillow.
5. Battery backup - Excellent!

Rare to find value in any consumer goods you buy these days, particularly in electronic gadgets category. This pair of headphones is an exception in the value it returns. These are pricey perhaps, but not too pricey when you compare with smartphone, camera and laptop prices. What we perhaps don't always realize is that we may go for more affordable popular/ commercial grade headphones, but we might end up buying several of similar headphones year after year, either because they do not satisfy our needs or wear out sooner than we expect them to. At the end, you'll see that a bunch of broken headphones lying on your desk, and if some of those still are working fine, you probably don't have the urge to pick up one to listen to your favourite music. What's more concerning is that we might even lose interest in listening to music at all. Yes, this has happened with me several times because of listening to bad audio system. Anyway, I'm happy that such good products are still available or produced and I am happy to find one.
